The Tell Me More Tag

The lovely Lyd at What Lyd Did recently created this tag and ever since bloggers have been sharing some great stories about their blogs. So I thought, having just taken the plunge and bought myself a custom domain name, it was time I got in on this tag's action too!
I've tried to go with the first things that have come to my mind, so some sections aren't hugely in-depth and are just my immediate responses.

What's the story behind your blog name?
In Les Mis, Valjean and Cosette temporarily live on Rue Plumet in Paris, which roughly translates to Feather Street. I'm a big fan of Les Mis so I felt a reference to it would intertwine my love for history, my love for musicals and the fact my name is Paris all in one! 71 is a reference to 1871, the year in French history I'm going to be studying in the final year of my degree. I also liked the idea of my blog name sounding like a home address because in a way it is a home for much of my writing.
Before 71 Feather Street I was Life in Florals, which I chose because I planned to be a lifestyle and fashion blog and florals are a particular favourite of mine to wear.
What's your real reason for blogging?
Primarily, I like the idea of having an outlet for my creativity that's not assessed in any way (i.e. not essays) and during my degree I've become really passionate about getting people engaged with history, so since the rebrand that's been a big goal of mine.
Best thing about blogging?
All the lovely people I've spoken to and become friends with as a result!
Worst thing about blogging?
Being stuck in a rut with regards to views and general follower growth. Or week-long writer's block!
Proudest moment so far?
The time Carrie Hope Fletcher tweeted my review of one of her novels and my views went nuts for about a day.
What are your ultimate blogging goals? Don't be shy!
To build up a loyal following and really feel like people enjoy my content, or to be able to monetise my content a little bit.
If you released a book, what genre would it be?
Historical non-fiction
If you released products, what would they be? Homeware, beauty, or something unexpected?Prints with quotes from historical figures in pretty typography. That'd be fun (and extremely unoriginal)!
What would you name the products and why?
Probably something really lame like Old Time Quotes.
What has blogging taught you?
That social media is a bloody minefield! Also that so many people have such different stories to tell about life, I'd say I've learnt a lot from people's personal posts.
Sum up your blog in three words!
Informative - I hope!
Archive - an archive of my writing, stretching back from my old posts to my newer posts (with quality increasing over time)
Personal - even though I don't write hugely personal things, I always discuss things interesting to me and try my best to put my own spin on it all!

Thanks for reading! I'm going to do a complete cop-out and simultaneously tag none of you and all of you by saying if you do this tag then I'd love to read it!
