Life | Five Resolutions for 2017

And so another year comes to a close (whilst we all wonder where on earth the time has gone) and as we look forth to a new year, many of us make resolutions. I don't often like to make resolutions for the new year, holding the view that one should be able to make resolutions anytime of the year. However, this year I've had a slight change of heart and so, here I am, writing this very post.

Compliment people more
This is an incredibly cheesy resolution to start off with. But I've found that all too often I hold back from telling someone I like their outfit, their make-up or - on a more serious note - their company, their sense of humour, etc. Something many of us are guilty of doing less than we perhaps wish to is complimenting each other and sharing the positivity. So, in 2017 I've decided to try and quash that and I hope you will join me! 😊

Push myself with blog posts
All too often I'll get what I think is a great idea for a blog post but then I'll let it sit as an empty draft in the drafts folder because it's challenging to write and I worry my attempts won't do it justice. This year I want to avoid that and give all of my ideas a really good go!

Get more organised with blogging
Whilst my degree will always absolutely come before my blog, it's definitely possible for me to strive towards being a little more organised and motivated with the blog this coming year.

Go to the theatre more
You might have noticed that I love the theatre (both musical and not), but for some reason, I hardly ever go. This year, I definitely want to make more of an effort to see as many shows as possible!

Bake more
Something I have been doing to an extent these past few months, is baking more. I've found I really enjoy making cakes and biscuits - and it's certainly more satisfying (and cheaper) than buying pre-made cakes and biscuits. This year, I'd like to continue that trend and hopefully improve my baking skills.

So there are five resolutions of mine for the new year. What are yours? Let me know in the comments!
