July Favourites

As July draws to its close (where has the time gone?!), I've decided to share you with my favourite things over the past month. There isn't any particular theme to this post, just a few bits and bobs I've enjoyed and appreciated during the month of July 2015.

Les Misérables - Victor Hugo
As a huge fan of the musical, I recently took the plunge and started reading the huge novel that is Victor Hugo's Les Misérables. So far, I love it! The narration of the story, the character development and the studies of the human soul and sociology all add up to a truly fascinating novel that I'd recommend to anyone with the time and commitment to give to it. (Pictured above is my Cool Prose Litograph that I blogged about here)

Strawberry Body Sorbet (The Body Shop)
During July's heatwave, I probably would've become a puddle on the floor were it not for this product. The Body Shop's cold take on the body butter is brilliantly cooling and refreshing to the skin in the sweltering heat of Summer (especially if you keep it in the fridge before popping it in your handbag). The Body Sorbet comes in a range of scents but I picked up the Strawberry one about a year ago for a fresh, sweet and summery fragrance.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser (The Body Shop)
I've been using this facial cleanser for a few months now and have had no breakouts at all in that time (of course there has been the odd spot on my face, but that's pretty much unavoidable). The product smells great and feels really refreshing upon the skin.

Popcorn Lip Scrub (Lush)
As part of my first ever Lush purchase, this product has really stood out for me this month. After hearing great things about the Bubblegum Lip Scrub, I decided to give it a whirl - in the Popcorn flavour instead. I use it before using my trusty Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lip Balm from The Body Shop and, as well as it tasting lovely, I have quickly begun to notice softer lips.

Tsum Tsums (The Disney Store)
Anyone who read my Travel Diary: London & Ed Sheeran post will know that I recently gave into the latest craze and began a collection of Tsum Tsums. Stitch, Dumbo, Lilo, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse are currently looking very cute in a pyramid formation on my bookshelf. They're detailed versions of their characters and I love the concept of turning Disney favourites into adorable stackable plushes.

As shown in my most recent travel post, I recently went to Waterworld, Stoke-on-Trent with some friends of mine - one of the most fun things I've done this month.

Retail Work

On 18th July, I did my first ever work shift in retail - a temporary one-day contract at Next as a member of their extra sale staff. Despite only doing one shift, it was a great learning curve for me and I really enjoyed engaging with customers and keeping my designated section of the store tidy and organised.

Starting this blog in late June, July has been my first full month of blogging on Life In Florals. I have loved every moment of writing posts, snapping photos and chatting to fellow bloggers on social media. For that I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who've made my first month of blogging such a great one.

Thank you for stopping by my first monthly favourites post. I'd love to see what things everyone else has been loving this month so feel free to pop a comment down below :)

Happy August everyone!
